Kaba Aye Pagoda

located on Kaba Aye Road, just five minutes’ drive from Hotel Scion Yangon, to the direction towards downtown Yangon. It was built in 1952 by U Nu, the prime minister of Myanmar Parliamentary era before 1962 coup d’état, in preparation for the Sixth Buddhist Council that he held from 1954-1956. Kabar Aye Pagoda has large compound so that ideal place to with peace and quiet environment for the monks (Sangas) and the devotees.

Opening hours

Open daily from 6 am until 8 pm. Ensure yourself to be barefoot before entering the pagoda precinct.
