The sacred Swe Taw Myat pagoda (Buddha tooth relic pagoda) is one of essential places of worship in Yangon, relatively very recent construction, compared to ancient historic Shwedagon pagoda. The temple bears beautiful hollow-type architecture, unlike most relics of the Buddha, the Buddha’s relics at Swe Taw Myat pagoda are well displayed that devotees can praise. It is an easy walking distance from Hotel Scion Yangon to pagoda precinct alongside the peaceful Mingalar lake on Shwe Snin Si road.
Open daily from 6 am until 6 pm. Ensure yourself to be barefoot before entering the pagoda precinct.
